Our Craftsman’s Oath

We are incredibly proud about the quality and longevity of our creations. We handmake each product from start to finish.

Each piece of leather is unique, with subtle and tiny differences in patterns, grain and texture. Leather ages beautifully, darkening and developing a “patina” over time. Each piece tells the story of its life, its journey and its adventures, becoming rich with character with use over the passage of time.

When cared for properly, a vegetable tanned leather item will outlast its owner. This is the basis of our commitment to heritage quality products; items that can be passed down or passed on. We include aftercare instructions with each purchase, and provided that our products are cared for in the ways that we advise, we do not envision that there should be any quality errors that develop over time.

We promise that we will uphold a lifetime guarantee on our vegetable tanned products, meaning that if there is ever an issue which develops with a well-cared for piece due to a manufacturing error, we swear to make it right.

We are wholly against fast fashion, planned obsolescence and single or limited use items. We will, therefore, always seek to advise on long-term care, repair and restoration of items over a replacement, as new version of the same product will not hold the story, the memories or the essence of your original piece.

If a problem ever develops with one of our products in the long-term, please reach out to us and we will start a conversation about the issue and the next steps that can be taken.

We are also happy to discuss any issues that might arise through accidental damage or user error, and we would seek to advise in much the same way. Please note, the care and possible repair costs would be the responsibility of the customer in cases where our aftercare advice has not been followed leading to reduced quality of the products, accidental damage or other user error.
